Sporty Beaver

Alison aka Sporty Beaver will be leaving us on the 21 April, she is embarking on an adventure to New Zealand for at least 12 months. We hope she has a brilliant time, she will be missed by all the Beavers and Leaders, but we have insisted that she sends us emails and postcards to keep us up to date and while she is there she is hoping to visit our friends at the Darfield NZ Scout Group..

District Beaver Camp Fire

Thank you to Wombwell Beavers for inviting us along to the camp fire on Wednesday 25 March. Darfield was well represented with 14 Beavers attending. The evening was well organised and the hot dogs and home baking were most welcome. Once again I would like to thank parents for their support.

Well done to the seven cubs who attended this event. We didn't win, but it's the taking part that counts. We will win it one day, we hope.

District Cyclo X

Well done to the 9 Beavers who competed in the District Cyclo X at Silverwood on Sunday 15 March, where we won both the individual and team trophies. The team trophy has not been won by Darfield since 2002. Well done again to everyone who completed and a big thank you to parents for your support.

Oliver!

Cubs and Scouts spent a great evening at the musical Oliver on Tuesday. Wombwell Operatics Society put on a fantastic show to a sell out audience. We have always enjoyed their Pantos and this was just as good, even better. The Cubs and Scouts seemed to enjoy themselves and we had several people come up to us afterwards complimenting us on their really good behaviour
