Are you born between 25th July 93 and 27th July 97? (updated)

Jamboree selections will be coming up and as of now, I know up to only one group of 36 explorers able to attend from South Yorkshire, read the post on 'district explorers' (sidebar) to find out more!

I will probably be hearing more about this from county with in the next couple of months, but my selections camps took place nearly two years before the event.

The next jamboree is to be held in Sweden and lots of fund raising will be needed, as it will cost nearly double the amount of last time!

To find out more about the jamboree its self visit the official site at: http://www.worldscoutjamboree.se/

It will be a fantastic experience and I will personally support any participants in what ever way is possible! : )

I have been contacted by county and nothing has come up yet but 'watch this space'.

The hike was well attended with Beavers from Hoyland, Hoyland Common and Wombwell joining in with us. Well done to all the Beavers who completed the hike, it was a long way and at times very wet, but no one under the age of 9 seemed to notice. The 16 Beavers from Darfield who took part will shortly be receiving their Hikes 1 award. Thanks must go to Eager Beaver for all his hard work in planning the day and to parents for their support. We should all have dried out for Tuesday (hopefully) see you all then.

New Zealand

Hi everyone. It'sMonday morning and it's throwing it down with rain. I just wanted to tell you about my trip so far.
Well, the weather has been lovely, I've even been swimming in the sea and wore my shorts! Ot's got very cold now though and I had to wear a coat and my hoodie the other day. I was not impressed!
Everyone is lovely here and I have made some friends. The little boy I am looking after is called Noah and he is 4. He is good most of the time! His mum is called Marlene and she is lovely.

I am flying to Wellington in June for the weekend which will be exciting. I am also going to try and visit Darfield cubs which is on the South Island and quite far away.

I miss you all lots and I will post some pictures up soon
