Beaver Bowling Night

On Tuesday the Beavers went to Barnsley Bowl where they enjoyed a bowl and bite evening. Everyone had a great time especially The Blonde and The Brunette who played on lane 18. The leaders would like to thank the all the parents for their support.

St Georges day parade

New Explorer!

We now have a new (official) explorer! Matthew Woodhouse was invested at the St Georges Day Church Service. Well done Matthew! (Good luck)

Sporty Beaver

On Tuesday we said goodbye to Alison who was flying out to work in New Zealand on Wednesday. Over the past few weeks Alison has been to lots of leaving parties and events and was proud that she had not been in tears, that was until Beaver night. Alison has asked me to say thank you to everyone for the gifts and cards that she received and promises that she will be posting items regularly.

St. George's Day Parade

Just a reminder that we will be meeting at the Church Hall at 12.30pm on Sunday to travel to Hoyland Common for the parade and service. St. George's day is one of the most important dates in our scouting calendar and we encourage everyone to attend. If you have any problem with transport please contact the section leaders.

Beaver Presentation

Well done to all the beavers that got their awards at the Presentation Night! Thank you for the parents cooperation with this event, and to Paula for the Teas and Coffees.

District Camp

This years District Camp is being held at Silverwood on Friday the 12th June to Sunday the 14th. We will be camping under canvas. If your child (cub or scout) would like to go they must fill in the form which was handed out on Tuesday the 21st and return it will the £5 deposit by the 28th April (next Tuesday).

Starting Date

Just a reminder that Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will begin again on the 21st April as usual.

Darfield beavers are in this weeks issue of the darfield/wombwell Chronicle!!! If you haven seen it I will upload a copy of the photo onto the blog. Well done to all the beavers and a happy Easter!

As its the holidays and probably going to rain why don't you visit the scout association website (sidebar) and give some of the online activities a go (ask a parent/guardian first). This site is also useful for any questions a parent; there is a parents zone on there.

Beaver Bulb Planting

Well done to the Beavers who came along and planted bulbs in the Churchyard. Everyone worked very hard and I am sure we will be rewarded with a stunning colourful display next spring. Look out for your photograph in the Barnsley Chronicle on Friday. Have a good holiday.

Beaver Bulb Planting

The Beavers will be Bulb Planting in Darfield Church yard, on MONDAY 6th April -Barnsley's playing on Tuesday : ) - Drop off a 6pm and we should be finished by about 7pm. Hope to see you there, The Beaver leaders

Holidays

Just a reminder that there will be no Cubs or Scouts in the holidays and we beginning meetings again on the 21st April.
